MICROBLADING
Microblading is a form of permanent makeup for eyebrows that was founded in the 90’s in Asia. Because microblading is only one technique, it often looks more natural when combined with other effects such as soft shading.
It is known under several names such as eyebrow embroidery, feathering, microstroking etc.
Microblading is basically a group of inline needles that at the hands of the artist are dipped in pigment and “glided” through the skin creating a hair like line.
** Careful client consideration is paramount to a successful result for the microblading technique and a good artist should be able to decide if you’re a good candidate for any combination of techniques. Consultations may be done online or in-person.
How Microblading Works
STEP 1: CONSULTATION
I will go through a thorough consultation before starting the microblading procedure. We believe the consultation is the most important part of the procedure and makes up about 90% of it. During the consultation, I will ask you to show me any photos you like, don’t like and/or how you normally draw on your eyebrows to get an idea of YOUR unique style.
STEP 2: SHAPE
I will then measure all the points of the your face with a ruler to ensure symmetry and precision. Once I find what you need to make a perfect pair of eyebrows, I begin designin based on your natural eyebrow hair and desired look. This is all done with a pencil first to ensure that the shape can be adjusted, if needed, before the procedure starts.
STEP 3: COLOR
Once you approve the shape drawn, a color is selected among myself and the client. I will swatch colors on the forehead based on their natural eyebrow color and the client’s unique style.
STEP 4: MICROBLADING
Only after have you approved the shape, color and the numbing is completed, then we proceed with the microblading procedure. That's when the magic happens. I will open a sterile needle in front of you and start the microblading procedure. Pigment is then implanted into the skin in a form of hair strokes to give it the illusion of real fine hair. Numbing is applied throughout the procedure to ensure the utmost comfort.
